Sustainability

at Limit Zero

If we don’t create a sustainable and outstanding product, we don’t make it

Let’s be very clear: If Limit Zero Pro could not have been created under an ecologically sustainable concept, we would not have launched it.Creating sustainable projects in the short, medium and long term is the only way we can continue to grow. We want to take a few minutes to explain how we take care of the environment at Limit Zero.

Sustainability at Limit Zero

On April 22nd we celebrate the Earth Day, because we do care! Being able to dedicate a day to the world and sustainability is special. But our responsibility as individuals and community stands every day. Although we are not perfect, we seek that our impact does not deplete resources, but is part of a sustainable circuit.

Little by little we are getting better and we have more resources. This is how we take care: offering quality personalized maps that are respectful of natural resources.

Ecological production

It was the first thing we tried to achieve: being able to print on recycled paper, without impacting forestry. But not only. The paper we use to print your maps is FSC certified.

What does it mean that our paper is FSC certified? It guarantees that the paper we have used for your personalized map has been obtained using sustainable production techniques.

Forest Stewardship Council®

Is a non-profit organization that is in charge of analyzing and ensuring that a production is legal at the sustainability level or it is not. In addition, its activities are aimed at companies adopting and incorporating sustainable techniques as far as possible, either through their packaging, the printing of documents or the management of forest-type resources.

Sustainable frames

Your maps deserve to be part of the decoration of your home, to represent a wonderful experience or epic adventure. Or be the center of your inspiration in your “pain cave” when you train for your next challenge.

Therefore, offering the option to frame your works of art was something we had to do. In this commitment to you, we wanted to maintain sustainable production, so we chose suppliers that would guarantee us wooden frames, where production was controlled and it was a natural material.

We produce locally

Exactly. This was not exactly easy. One of the major pollution factors globally is transportation, the fossil waste that is burned to move a product from point A to point B thousands of km away.

But it was not just about that, but also about promoting local production. For this we manage to produce our maps locally throughout Europe, South America and the US. What does this mean? That in more than 30 countries we have agreements to produce in your own country. In other words, your map is printed nearest to you and will not cross an ocean and several borders to reach your hands.

Up to a 80% carbon footprint reduction.

We have calculated what our resource consumption would be if we had organized this project around sales without worrying about the production processes and you, who are really the center.

  • 92% of all orders are sent from the same destination country from which you requested it.
  • If we had concentrated production in a single location, it would have resulted in each map traveling an average of 4200 km more, with respective consumption and pollution.

That is why we are committed to local production, both as producers and as consumers. And we encourage you to try your local business!

Conclusions

Did you know all this? We, like you, are inveterate travelers, lovers of nature, of crossing forests, of being out there traveling on thousands of roads by bike and discovering every corner of the world. Therefore, it made sense to be consistent and take care of the world that we like to know so much.

And you, what ways and actions do you take to contribute to being more sustainable? Tell us in comments!
